We are seeking:

• A University Professor (W3) for Computational Electromagnetics in the Department Elektrotechnik und Informatik, Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, to begin on 1.8.26.

Your Responsibilities:

You will represent the field of Computational Electromagnetics in research and teaching. The research profile should also enhance the university's profile in sensor technology, nanotechnology, and quantum systems. Collaboration within the faculty and with the Center for Sensor Systems (ZESS) is expected, especially participation in research projects.

Your profile:

We seek an individual with outstanding research experience in computational electromagnetics and its applications in areas such as:

• Smart Sensors and Actuators
• Integrated Optoelectronic Devices
• Optical Computing for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Quantum Engineering including Optics, Control, and Sensing
• Data-driven Modelling / Machine Learning in Computational Electromagnetics

The candidate should have a strong background in electrical engineering, an excellent international track record, and experience in acquiring and managing research funding. The ability to offer courses in both German and English and contribute to university administration is also expected.
