In our headquarters in Düsseldorf we are looking for you as (Junior) Developer SEA (f/m/d)

TASKS WITH IMPACT

Are you passionate about technology, love automating processes, and enjoy spotting patterns in large datasets?
As part of our E-Commerce team, you'll develop and implement technical solutions to take our performance in digital marketing (especially SEA and price comparison platforms) to the next level. Your focus will be on automation, scalability, and data-driven optimization.

  • Campaign Process Automation: You’ll develop and implement scripts and tools (e.g. using APIs like the Google Ads API) to automate tasks in campaign management, such as bid adjustments, reporting, keyword management, and ad creation

  • Data Analysis & Optimization: You'll analyze large sets of marketing data (performance KPIs, web analytics, user behavior) to identify optimization opportunities. You may also develop your own models or algorithms to improve bidding strategies, audience targeting, or budget allocation

  • Technical A/B Testing: You’ll design, technically implement, and statistically evaluate A/B tests and other experiments to validate and enhance marketing strategies

  • Data Feeds & Integration: You’ll optimize and automate the management and processing of product data feeds for Google Shopping and price comparison platforms. You'll also work on integrating various data sources and marketing tools

  • Reporting & Dashboarding: You’ll build and maintain automated reporting systems and dashboards to monitor performance and support decision-making—with a clear focus on ROI

  • Technical Project Work: You'll lead and implement technical projects in areas such as marketing automation, AI in marketing, advanced segmentation, or cross-channel tracking

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You’ll work closely with marketing managers, developers, and analysts, translating marketing needs into technical solutions

YOUR SKILLS
  • Background: Degree in (business) informatics, data science, mathematics, physics, or a similar technical field. Alternatively, a different degree or vocational training with proven strong technical affinity and programming experience
  • Technical Skills: Solid knowledge of at least one scripting/programming language (e.g. Python, JavaScript, SQL). Experience with APIs—especially marketing APIs like the Google Ads API—is a big plus
  • Data Competence: Experience in processing, analyzing, and visualizing data. Knowledge of databases and data pipelines is beneficial
  • Marketing Affinity: Basic understanding of or strong interest in digital marketing channels (especially performance marketing, SEA, web analytics), and the willingness to quickly deepen that knowledge. Direct SEA management experience is not mandatory if your technical skills are strong
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical mindset and a structured, data-driven approach to work
  • Languages: Good command of English; German is important for team communication
YOUR BENEFITS

Your personal development: we want you to grow with us. Become part of our mentoring program, use our e-learning platforms and benefit from many other individual development opportunities.

Open feedback culture: half-yearly meetings & performance reviews (#DOUGLASDialogue)
