Job Description

Senior Business Development Manager - Digital Services

Location: Nuremberg, Germany

Hire Type: Full-time

Vertical: eClerx Digital

Summary

In this role, you will identify, develop, and build new business for eClerx Digital, especially focusing on the Retail sector, including brands and eCommerce organizations. Key products and services include Retail Analytics, Tech, Digital Shelf, Marketing, Content and Web Operations, Creative Services, Product Data Management, Pricing & Competitive Intelligence, Search Optimization, Campaign Management, and Data Engineering.

The role involves surfacing client needs and pain points, collaborating with practice leads, solution leads, and digital consultants to deliver meaningful business improvements. You will be responsible for opening doors, winning new clients, and managing the entire sales cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Acquire new clients through outbound sales efforts, targeted events, and networking.
  2. Develop relationships at various levels of seniority in target industries and companies to generate revenue from advanced productized services and consulting engagements.
  3. Pitch ideas and storytelling around eClerx offerings, thinking beyond traditional digital services.
  4. Leverage industry networks in the UK, Europe, and the US to identify new opportunities.
  5. Work with retail stakeholders to scope and develop project opportunities, primarily with mid to large Fortune 500 clients in the UK, Europe, and the US.
  6. Coordinate outreach strategies with marketing to enhance brand awareness and business opportunities.
  7. Arrange high-level meetings with senior executives to discuss tailored eClerx services and products.
  8. Participate in industry conferences and summits to stay updated on trends and client needs.
  9. Research market trends and technological advancements to improve client productivity and reduce costs.
  10. Contribute retail sector expertise through presentations and workshops at industry events.

Eligibility Requirements

  1. Strong understanding of sponsors, their operations, challenges, and industry context.
  2. Minimum 7+ years of client-facing experience with a proven track record in selling bespoke services and enterprise solutions.
  3. Experience working with retail and consumer organizations in a service or platform environment.
  4. Experience managing multiple projects with various stakeholders in high-volume environments.
  5. Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and deal management from origination to close.
  6. Proven success in acquiring new business beyond existing clients and opening new doors.
  7. Knowledge of digital and analytical platforms and their business applications.
  8. Ability to understand how recommendations impact business objectives beyond data analysis.
  9. Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortable engaging at senior levels, proficient in MS Office.
  10. Ambitious, entrepreneurial, with an extensive network of contacts preferred.
  11. Organized approach to sales tracking, experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  12. Bachelor’s Degree or MBA (preferred).
  13. Right to work in the NL.
