Full-time Position: Head of Purchasing (M/F/D)

We are seeking a new team member (m/f/d) for a full-time Head of Purchasing role at our Ratingen location. Join us and contribute to our success.

Responsibilities

  1. Implement, control, and monitor purchasing processes
  2. Prepare tenders, conduct price comparisons, and negotiations
  3. Prepare supply contracts, call-off, and blanket orders
  4. Carry out WIF calculations and controlling
  5. Monitor market price developments with suppliers and regions
  6. Plan budgets and capex for production sites
  7. Create and implement supplier audits and evaluations, and prepare audit reports
  8. Manage inventory planning and adjustments
  9. Set and monitor purchasing targets
  10. Handle supplier complaints
  11. Develop work/process instructions
  12. Report supply bottlenecks and monitor supply chain
  13. Identify risks and opportunities, participate in audits
  14. Coordinate with external bodies, prepare BaFa applications, and liaise with auditors and authorities
  15. Develop procurement strategies and strategic planning
  16. Manage energy procurement and tax refund applications
  17. Oversee purchasing at subsidiaries and adapt to legal changes
  18. Lead and develop the purchasing team, organize training and induction, create qualification matrices

Qualifications

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship with further training in purchasing or a degree in business administration
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional and leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of purchasing processes
  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Leadership skills with social and communication competencies
  • Analytical, proactive in process optimization
  • Reliable team player with initiative and structured work style
