Job summary

SPIE Global Services Energy is seeking a Workshop Safety Officer to oversee safety across the machine shop and fabrication areas in Doha, Qatar. You will enforce guarding, LOTO, and PPE practices while conducting safety inspections, hazard identifications, and permit reviews in a high-risk environment.

You will lead toolbox talks, participate in job safety analysis, and document incidents in the HSEQ Synergi system.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma with valid NEBOSH IGC Certificate, or Diploma in Industrial Safety Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in electrical, welding, instrument, and machine shop safety in GCC-based Oil & Gas or manufacturing sectors.

Responsibilities

• Enforce machine guarding standards and LOTO during maintenance.
• Audit Hot Work and Maintenance Permits for adequacy and safety compliance.
• Perform daily safety tours of machine shop areas and monitor unsafe practices.
• Conduct toolbox meetings and participate in Job Safety Analysis.
• Report incidents in HSEQ Synergi system and follow up corrective actions.
