Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Works Inspector (Electrical) in Qatar to oversee daily site operations, ensuring work meets design specs, safety standards, and quality expectations.

You will conduct thorough inspections, document findings, coordinate with teams, and support testing and commissioning of electrical systems.

With a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of inspection experience on large infrastructure projects, you will join a global leader in engineering.

• Monitor and report on work progress, identifying delays or issues and recommending corrective actions.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, including daily, safety, and quality control reports.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works like power distribution, lighting, wiring, and control systems.
• Manage site safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols to minimize risks.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist with testing and commissioning to verify that components meet quality and functionality before handover.

Works Inspector (Electrical) - Qatar

Parsons is looking for an experienced Works Inspector (Electrical) to join our team! In this role, you will oversee and inspect daily site operations related to electrical construction, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.


• Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.


• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.


• Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.


• Coordinate with the construction teams to ensure smooth execution of electrical works, such as power distribution systems, lighting installations, wiring, and control systems.


• Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with electrical works.


• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for electrical works.


• Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that electrical components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.


• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical construction inspection, with at least 5 years in an inspection role for large‑scale infrastructure projects such as roads, drainage systems, water supply networks, and sewer systems.


• Strong understanding of electrical construction standards, codes, and regulations.


• Proficient in MS Office and inspection reporting software.


• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and check construction work for accuracy and compliance.
