Job summary

Parsons in Qatar seeks an experienced Works Inspector (Roads) to oversee daily site operations, ensuring road construction conforms to design, safety, and quality standards. You will inspect materials, monitor progress, and document reports to support timely, on-budget delivery.

Responsibilities include coordinating with construction teams, supervising safety protocols, and liaising with contractors to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specs.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 10+ years of inspection experience on large-scale infrastructure projects (highways, urban roads, interchanges).
• Proficient with MS Office and inspection reporting software; knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of all inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Coordinate with the construction teams to ensure smooth execution of road works, such as grading, paving, drainage systems, and signage.
• Manage site safety, ensuring that all workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize risks associated with road works.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure the timely delivery of materials and services required for road works.
• Assist with testing and commissioning, ensuring that road components meet the necessary quality and functionality standards before handover.
