Job summary

Parsons in Qatar is seeking a Works Inspector (Electrical) to oversee electrical construction on major infrastructure projects. You will conduct inspections, ensure design compliance, safety, and quality, and coordinate with construction teams to keep milestones on track.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years in electrical construction inspection, including large-scale roads, drainage, water or sewer works, and possess strong English

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical construction inspection, with at least 5 years in inspection roles for large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction standards, codes, and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and inspection reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and report on work progress, identifying potential delays or issues and recommending corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Ensure proper documentation of inspections, including daily reports, safety reports, and quality control checks.
• Coordinate with construction teams for smooth execution of electrical works, such as power distribution, lighting, wiring, and control systems.
• Manage site safety, ensuring workers adhere to safety protocols and minimize electrical risks.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Assist with testing and commissioning to verify component quality before handover.
