Job summary

Raffles Doha, in partnership with Fairmont Doha, invites candidates for a Waiter/Waitress role. You will deliver exemplary food and beverage service in a luxury setting, greet guests, take orders, and coordinate with kitchen to ensure timely service.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, English proficiency, and a passion for guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Beverage knowledge and POS familiarity are a plus.

Qualifications

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as our new Waiter / Waitress.

The Waiter / Waitress is responsible for providing friendly, efficient and professional food and beverage service to guests while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, serving guests according to established service standards, providing menu recommendations, responding to guest requests and coordinating with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth and timely service. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Present menus and explain food and beverage options
• Take accurate food and beverage orders
• Provide recommendations based on guest preferences
• Serve food and beverages efficiently according to service standards
• Ensure tables are properly set, clean and maintained
• Monitor guest needs throughout the dining experience
• Handle guest requests, feedback and complaints professionally
• Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure timely service
• Check guest satisfaction and follow up when required
• Process bills and payments accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the service area
• Upsell food and beverage items where appropriate
• Follow hotel policies, procedures and service standards
• Assist with opening, closing and other daily restaurant operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Waiter, Waitress or in a similar hospitality role
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service
