Job summary

Confidential in Doha, Qatar seeks a VAT Refund Specialist to process and validate refund claims, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and service standards. You will verify eligibility through returns and account data, and coordinate disbursements with finance channels.

Work with Information Systems & Digital Transformation to enhance e-forms, validations, and dashboards, and prepare concise performance summaries to support process improvement and taxpayer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in VAT refunds or claims verification preferred.
• Strong understanding of refund verification practices and service-level monitoring.
• Ability to communicate clearly with taxpayers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Reviews refund claims against eligibility criteria, documentation standards and procedures.
• Verifies data consistency with returns, taxpayer accounts and related systems.
• Coordinates clarifications with claimants and internal teams to finalize accurate decisions.
• Ensures accurate and timely disbursements; maintains records, tax audit trails and compliance with financial controls.
• Supports reconciliations between refund systems, treasury platforms, and payment gateways.
• Coordinates with Information Systems & Digital Transformation to maintain refund e-forms, validations, and dashboards.
• Contributes to testing, reporting issues, and recommending process or system updates to improve efficiency.
• Prepares clear responses to taxpayer queries and contributes to guides and FAQs on refund procedures.
• Provides feedback on recurring errors and documentation gaps to strengthen first-time-right submissions.
• Monitors key indicators such as processing timelines, accuracy rates, and satisfaction levels.
• Prepares concise reports on refund performance and identifies opportunities for improvement
