Job summary

Al Rayes Laundry & Dry Cleaning is seeking a Transport Manager for an on-site role to lead planning, coordinating and overseeing transportation operations, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective movement of goods and personnel.

The position calls for a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3–5 years of transport/logistics experience, including supervisory responsibilities. You will manage fleet performance, budgets and collaborations with warehousing to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or related field.
3–5 years of experience in transport, logistics or fleet management.
Previous supervisory or management experience.
Good knowledge of fleet management and transportation operations.
Strong leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills.
Good computer skills including Microsoft Office and transport/fleet management systems.

Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate daily transport operations.
Plan and optimize delivery and transportation routes.
Supervise drivers and transport personnel.
Prepare driver schedules and monitor attendance and performance.
Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, serviced and inspected.
Monitor fuel consumption and transportation costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, traffic laws and safety regulations.
Coordinate with warehouse, logistics and other departments to ensure timely deliveries.
Investigate accidents, incidents and customer complaints.
Maintain accurate vehicle, driver, fuel and transportation records.
Monitor transport KPIs and implement improvements to increase efficiency.
Manage external transport contractors and service providers when required.
