Job summary

Confidential Company in Qatar is seeking a VAS Operations Support Engineer to manage, monitor, maintain and troubleshoot telecom VAS platforms in a production environment. The role emphasizes incident resolution, preventive maintenance, service monitoring, automation, and vendor coordination.

You will work with NOC, IT, Network and Security teams, perform health checks, and contribute to after-hours incident response as required. Strong scripting and troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Telecom VAS/Production Support and O&M experience.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix, SQL, TCP/IP, REST APIs and scripting.
• Experience with Python or Shell scripting and operational automation.
• Familiarity with SMSC/SMPP, Messaging, eSIM or related VAS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support telecom VAS platforms and production services.
• Troubleshoot application servers, databases, APIs, messaging and connectivity issues.
• Handle incident, problem and change management activities.
• Develop automation scripts and work with vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain health checks, preventive maintenance, KPI alarms and service verification.
