Job summary

Gulf Business Development Group is seeking a seasoned telecom technician to maintain and install industrial telecom and network systems in offshore and onshore environments. You will perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on complex plant equipment and participate in commissioning activities.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years hands-on experience, familiarity with offshore brownfields, hook-up operations, FAT/SAT testing, and a strong command of safety protocols PTW/LOTO/HSE.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining plant telecom equipment
• Direct experience with offshore/onshore brownfields, hook-up and maintenance operations

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on industrial telecom and network systems
• Install, configure, test and commission telecom equipment including FAT and SAT
• Work with fiber optic networks, structured cabling, LAN/WAN networks, CCTV, PA/GA systems, radio communications and telephony
• Strictly adhere to PTW, LOTO and HSE protocols
• Read and interpret telecom drawings, block diagrams, cable schedules and technical specifications

System Maintenance Operations

• Perform preventive corrective and breakdown maintenance on industrial telecom and network systems

Installation Commissioning

• Install configure test and commission telecom equipment including Factory Acceptance Tests FAT and Site Acceptance Tests SAT

Core Technologies

• Work with fiber optic networks structured cabling LAN WAN networks CCTV Public Address and General Alarm PA GA systems radio communications VHF UHF and telephony

Safety Compliance

• Strictly adhere to Permit to Work PTW Lockout-Tagout LOTO and Health Safety and Environment HSE protocols

Documentation

• Read and interpret telecom drawings block diagrams cable schedules and technical specifications

Engineering Degree: Bachelor’s Degree inTelecommunications, Electrical/Electronics & Communications Engineering, or a recognized equivalent technical diploma.

Experiences: 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in troubleshooting and maintaining plant telecommunication equipmentDirect experience with offshore/onshore brownfields, hook-up and maintenance operations
