Job summary

Stantec in Qatar seeks a senior civil/environmental engineer to lead hydraulic modelling and the design of sewerage networks, including gravity and pressurised schemes, for large communities or city-wide developments.

The role requires 15+ years in sewerage planning and design, with at least 8 years leading planning and strategy. Chartered or Professional Engineer status is expected, with international credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant experience, including 8+ years leading planning and strategy for foul sewerage networks and treatment works.
• Experience in master planning, catchment strategy development, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience leading the design of sewerage networks across gravity and pressurised schemes, in large communities or city-wide developments.
• Chartered or Professional Engineer status; international institution preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Demonstraate experience in leading hydraulic modelling or leading hydraulic modelling of sewerage networks
• Demonstrate experience in design and leading the design of sewerage networks, including gravity and pressurised schemes, related pump stations, preferably in large communities or city-wide developments
• For the above, if this can be demonstrated in at least 4 or 5 projects, that would be beneficial
• Experience in different delivery stages of a sewerage network from master planning to concept design, preliminary design, and detailed design.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
• Must be a Chartered or Professional Engineer (e.g., CEng, PE, or equivalent); an international institution is preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, including at least 8 years leading planning and strategy for foul sewerage networks and treatment works.
• Must have experience in Master planning, catchment strategy development, and stakeholder coordination.
