Job summary

FMM is seeking an experienced maintenance professional in Qatar to lead preventive and corrective maintenance, guide Technical Officers and Technicians, and ensure high safety and quality standards on site.

The role emphasizes team development, knowledge of asset installation, timely PPM tasks, and effective communication with Engineers and management to meet performance goals.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 10 years of relevant maintenance experience in a compatible facility.
• Knowledge of regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA, BS.
• Team building and problem‑solving skills.
• Dispute resolution and training skills.
• Ability to work with people at all levels.
• Ability to establish work priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to support the team and give direction to Technical Officers and Technicians.
• Support improvement efforts in the department to increase performance.
• Ensure proper hand‑over of work at shift change and report any faults on equipment to Engineers and Senior Engineers.
• Ensure the team performs the assigned job well and train the team on their maintenance tasks.
• Ensure the team has correct knowledge of asset installation.
• Do the assigned PPM correctly and on time.
• Perform corrective tasks and complete them on time.
• Assist subcontractors to perform the work assigned to them.
• Take care of the quality of the work performed by the team and oneself.
• Report defects, issues, breakdowns, damages, etc. to the FRC or Engineer.
• Follow all instructions given by Engineers and managers.
• Be responsible for special projects as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Assist in producing documents required for internal or external audit.
• Use common sense while performing duties.
• Be professional and an example for the team, polite when dealing with people, and a team player.
• Comply with company standards, including personal hygiene, dress code, behavior, health procedures, and all HSEQ related standards.
• Follow the rules and regulations from the client and from FMM's HSEQ Management System, including attending all training sessions and reading provided documents.
• Escalate to the line manager any lack of proper equipment or tools for doing the work.
• Report any accident, incident, near miss, or health event at work to the line manager.
• Develop and produce MS RA and COSHH, ensuring all required permits are in place.
• Ensure that staff reporting to the Senior Technical Officer have the statutory training required for the task.
• Ensure that staff are aware of the MS RA and check that the control measures are implemented.
• Report any mistake or observation on MS RA to the HSEQ Department.
• Ensure that staff have proper PPE before starting the task.
• Ensure that staff use proper machines and tools for the tasks.
