Job summary

Mekdam Holding Group in Doha, Qatar, is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to convert requisitions into purchase orders and lead sourcing in Oil & Gas operations.

You will review requirements, specifications, quantities, lead times, and values; manage supplier performance and expedite high-value deliveries; and develop effective procurement strategies while maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in purchasing equipment and materials.
• Oil & Gas procurement experience is preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and technical documents.
• Good understanding of material specifications.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel.
• SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Convert Purchase Requisitions into Purchase Orders in line with procedures and standards.
• Develop and apply effective sourcing strategies for Oil & Gas operations.
• Review user requirements, technical specifications, quantities, lead times and estimated values.
• Review technical and commercial evaluations and prepare award recommendations.
• Prepare Purchase Orders, change orders and variation orders.
• Support SLA and KPI requirements, including bonds, guarantees and progress payments.
• Coordinate expediting activities for emergency, critical and high-value deliveries.
• Conduct pre-qualification and technical proposal exercises.
• Monitor vendor performance and market trends affecting cost and delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
