Job summary

Qatar Petroleum seeks an Assistant Buyer to streamline procurement of equipment and materials for oil and gas operations. You will manage supplier relationships, evaluate quotes, and issue purchase orders from receipt to delivery.

The role requires at least 6 years in purchasing, a bachelor’s in engineering, and familiarity with industry standards. Membership in global supply chain bodies is desirable, and you will work within QP’s procedures to maintain high ethical and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of purchasing equipment and goods, preferably in the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of material specs, standards, and service systems in the power market.
• Experience with procurement processes and supplier evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Handle procurement and supply from receipt of acquisition to purchase order award and distribution for buying groups.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Petroleum rules, plans, procedures, and guidelines in the procurement process.
