Job summary

The International School of London Qatar is seeking an Accounts Receivable & Collections Lead to oversee billing, collections, and reconciliations for student and parent accounts. You will partner with the Senior Accountant, Head of Finance, Admissions, and HR to ensure timely financial reporting and continuous process improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in finance or related field with at least 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in AR within a school

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in accounts receivable, billing, collections, and reconciliations in a school environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Experience with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns full accounts receivable cycle: billing, allocations, collections, ageing follow‑up, reconciliation, and resolving balances.
• Maintains timely recording of financial transactions and accurate parent/student account statements.
• Reconciles customer accounts, receipts, deposits, and AR control accounts; supports month‑end reporting.
• Manages payment plans, credits, and refunds with proper documentation and authorization.
• Interacts with Admissions, HR and other teams to respond to receivables questions and support audits.
