Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering in Doha is seeking a skilled Spray Painter to join our team. The role focuses on applying protective coatings to structural steel, ensuring quality and safety on fabrication or erection projects.

Responsibilities include surface preparation, correct mixing of coatings, and spray application with PPE and safety compliance. Previous experience with epoxy and polyurethane coatings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school certificate or vocational training in industrial painting or related trade is preferred.
• 4-5 years of work experience in spray painting, especially on structural steel.
• Experience with airless and conventional spray equipment for protective coatings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare structural steel surfaces by cleaning, degreasing, grinding, and rust removal.
• Mix primers, epoxy coatings, polyurethane finishes and thinners per specs and manufacturer instructions.
• Apply protective coatings using airless and conventional spray equipment with uniform coverage.
• Perform stripe coating on edges, welds, bolts, and hard-to-reach areas and repair defects.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment; follow site safety procedures and PPE requirements.
