Job summary

Madre Integrated Engineering is seeking a skilled Refractory Technician for full-time work in Doha, Qatar. You will perform refractory installation, repair, relining, and maintenance per supervisor instructions and approved procedures, while preparing equipment and materials for safe operation.

You will inspect refractory machinery and handle components such as EAF shells, deltas, ladles, tundishes, covers, and related units, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or higher secondary education from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in steel making or refractory operations.
• Hands-on experience with demolition, installation, repair, relining, and brickwork.
• Knowledge of refractory systems in EAFs, ladles, tundishes and related equipment.
• Understanding of safety, environmental and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform refractory installation, repair, relining, and maintenance as instructed.
• Inspect and prepare refractory machines, equipment, tools, and materials.
• Handle refractory-related equipment including EAF shells, deltas, ladles, tundishes, covers, and ancillary units.
• Carry out demolition and cleaning of used refractory linings and materials.
• Install and repair refractory linings using bricks, castables and other materials.
• Coordinate with production/maintenance, maintain records, and ensure shift handovers per safety standards.
