Job summary

QatarEnergy Qatarization seeks a Senior QA/QC Lead to guide the Quality Management System across oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with QATARI standards, international codes and regulatory requirements. You will monitor all quality activities and lead QA/QC teams.

The role requires extensive EPIC project experience, hands-on NDT and welding inspection, and collaboration with EPC contractors to drive quality excellence on pipelines and process plants.

Qualifications

• IRCA QMS Lead Auditor certification is required.
• ASNT Level II RT/MT/PT/UT certifications preferred.
• Welding and painting inspection certs from AWS/CSWIP/TWI are required.
• Professional QA/QC affiliations with CQI/ASQ are desirable.
• Minimum 15 years in oil & gas with EPIC exposure and QA/QC leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC across assigned EPIC projects and ensure QMS compliance.
• Monitor quality activities and verify conformance to standards.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors and internal teams for quality deliverables.
• Apply Shell DEPs and international codes (ASME, ASTM, NACE, API, ISO) as required.

Job description

Primary Purpose of the Job

Lead the provision of expertise on Quality Management System (QMS) of the Department and ensure compliance with QATARENERGY Standards, International Standards and Regulatory Requirements.

Monitor all quality related activities on assigned projects.

Required Experience and Skills

1. IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor Certification, ASNT Level-II Certification in RT / MT/PT/UT,
2. Certifications in welding and painting inspection activities from internationally recognized certification bodies like AWS / CSWIP/TWI.
3. Professional certification / affiliation with internationally recognized Quality organizations like CQI or ASQ or similar is desirable.
4. Minimum 15 years’ of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry with an international recognized EPIC contractor or end user/owner organizations, covering pipelines and process plants.
5. Hands on working experience in major EPIC projects with involvement in all phases of E-P-I-C from working level to independently managing / Heading QA/QC function, with technical expertise in core discipline.
6. Working knowledge in the manufacturing inspection and certification processes for equipment/ materials in projects and the associated Quality Assurance and Quality Control practices.
7. Working from corporate offices with functional responsibility for simultaneous coordination / working / managing multiple projects is desirable.
8. Working knowledge of using and interpreting Shell DEPs, International Codes / Standards (ASME, ASTM, NACE, AWS, API, BS, ISO) related to the job and industry.
9. Sound Welding and NDT knowledge is must.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering from internationally recognized organization or equivalent.
