Job summary

Client of Visuna is seeking an experienced Specialist Geochemist to support a project in Qatar. The role focuses on geochemical investigations, sampling and analysis data interpretation, geochemical modelling, and evaluating geochemical risks in soil, groundwater, surface water, sediments and rock.

You will lead and support investigations, develop sampling/analysis strategies, review existing datasets, design and supervise sampling programs, establish QA/QC and chain-of-custody, and interpret

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge in geochemical investigations and data interpretation.
• Experience in sampling and analysis strategies for contaminated sites or environmental projects.
• Ability to review geological, hydrogeological and geochemical datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support geochemical investigations and assessment programmes.
• Develop sampling and analysis strategies based on objectives and site conditions.
• Review existing datasets and design soil, groundwater, surface-water, sediment and rock sampling programmes.
• Establish sampling protocols, QA/QC procedures and chain-of-custody requirements.
• Interpret laboratory results and identify geochemical trends.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Geochemist to support an upcoming project in Qatar.

• The successful candidate will provide specialist technical expertise in geochemical investigations sampling and analysis data interpretation geochemical modelling environmental assessment and the evaluation of geochemical risks associated with soil groundwater surface water sediments and rock.
• Lead and support geochemical investigations and assessment programmes.
• Develop appropriate geochemical sampling and analysis strategies based on project objectives and site conditions.
• Review existing geological hydrogeological environmental and geochemical datasets.
• Design and supervise soil groundwater surface-water sediment rock and other environmental sampling programmes.
• Establish appropriate sampling protocols quality assurance quality control procedures and chain-of-custody requirements.
• Interpret laboratory analytical results and identify spatial and temporal geochemical trends.
