Job summary

Commercial Bank Of Qatar is seeking a Security Detection & Response Specialist to monitor, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents using a range of tools. This role protects the bank's information systems and digital assets across the organization.

You will work in CSOC, develop and tune use-cases and alerts, perform health checks, and coordinate incident response with InfoSec management. A B.Sc. in computer science/engineering and relevant experience in security operations are required.

Qualifications

• Academic Degree: B.Sc. in computer science/engineering or related technical field.
• Experience in Security Operations or Information Technology equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Continuous monitoring and review of security events and CSOC dashboards to identify anomalous patterns.
• Responsible for timely and effective response to incidents and management of CSOC activities including Root Cause Analysis.
• Gather relevant information and provide actionable intelligence on potential cyber security threats and incidents.
• Prepare CSOC reports on daily, weekly and monthly KRIs.
• Create and tune use-cases and alerts in the CSOC monitoring environment.
• Perform health checks on CSOC systems and ensure logs are collected.
