Job summary

DNV Inspection AS Abu Dhabi seeks a qualified inspector with Mechanical/Metallurgical background to lead inspection and QC of pressure vessels, piping and structures. You will witness tests, review QA/QC docs and prepare detailed reports in line with international codes.

Candidates should hold CSWIP 3.2.2 / AWS-SCWI and NDT Level II, with BGAS-CSWIP/NACE certifications preferred. Short-term deployments (30 days) form part of the role, with age limits 30–55 years.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering.
• CSWIP 3.2.2 / AWS-SCWI certification required.
• NDT Level II certification required.
• BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1/2 or NACE Level 1/2 preferred.
• Age 30-55; willingness for short-term assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and QC of pressure vessels, piping, valves and steel structures.
• Witness testing activities and review QA/QC documents and MTCs.
• Prepare inspection reports and ensure compliance with codes and project specs.
• Support shutdowns, maintenance, fabrication and repair at plant and contractor sites.

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Diploma in Metallurgical Engineering

CSWIP 3.2.2 / AWS-SCWI certification

NDT Level II

BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1/2 or NACE Level 1/2

Conducted inspection and quality control of pressure vessels piping valves and steel structures Performed welding material PMI NDT hydrotest coating and dimensional inspections reviewed QA QC documents and MTCs witnessed testing activities prepared inspection reports and ensured compliance with international codes standards and project specifications Supported shutdown maintenance fabrication and repair activities at plant and contractor facilities Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical EngineeringValid CSWIP 3.2.2/ AWS-SCWI certification is a must and to be taken at least 5 years ago (old and new certificates are required).

NDT Level II is a must.

BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1/2 or NACE Level 1/2 favorably.

Age limit 30-55Willing to work short term as duration of work is 30 days8 years For Degree Holders or 12 years for Diploma Holders.

Experienced in Inspection, Testing, repair of Pressure Vessels and Piping, Steel structures, Valves, at fabrication shop and construction sites.
