Job summary

Avanta Works in Doha, Qatar is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. You will read blueprints, set up manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, and fuse metal parts using GTAW, GMAW, and oxyacetylene processes.

The role requires attention to quality and safety and offers a monthly salary of QAR 1,700. You will monitor weld quality against standards, inspect welds, and perform post-weld treatments as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Welder with 5+ years in the field.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of various metals and alloys.
• Proficient in manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Certification from vocational school or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine welding requirements.
• Set up and operate welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW, oxyacetylene).
• Inspect welds to ensure quality standards.
• Follow safety procedures when handling hazardous materials.
• Repair worn parts by welding additional material.
• Perform post-weld heat treatment when required.
