Job summary

Advanced Construction Technology Services is seeking a qualified Soil & Aggregate Technician for an on-site role in Doha, Qatar. You will conduct field and laboratory testing of soil and aggregates to ensure compliance with project specs and standards.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in soil and aggregate testing, with a diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. This position offers monthly pay and on-site work.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of soil and aggregate testing experience.
Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering or related field.
Strong knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO and BS standards.
Ability to record, calculate, and interpret test results accurately.

Responsibilities

Conduct field and laboratory testing of soil, aggregates, and other construction materials.
Perform soil tests including moisture content, density, compaction, sieve analysis, Atterberg limits, and other applicable tests.
Conduct aggregate tests including gradation, specific gravity, water absorption, abrasion, soundness, and other relevant tests.
Collect, prepare, identify, and properly store samples in accordance with approved procedures.
Perform field density and compaction testing as required.
Operate, maintain, and properly handle laboratory and field testing equipment.
Accurately record, calculate, analyze, and report test results.
Ensure all testing is performed in accordance with applicable ASTM, AASHTO, BS, and project specifications.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, equipment logs, and calibration records.
Identify and report materials or test results that do not comply with specified requirements.
Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
Comply with all company quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the relevant Department Head(s).
