Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Construction Superintendent (Scaffolding) for an oil & gas operator in Qatar. The role covers onshore site-based scaffolding supervision with a focus on safety and compliance across offshore and onshore scopes.

Responsibilities include auditing scaffolding systems, risk assessments, and resolving on-site issues, while monitoring contractor competency and leading incident investigations to improve SHES performance.

Qualifications

• CISRS Level III or ECITB Advance Level qualification.
• 12+ years in oil and gas operations, including 5+ years in a senior supervising role.
• Ability to review engineered scaffolding designs and apply NASC TG20.
• Knowledge of LNG operating standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Audit the project ScafTag system and monitor contractor scaffolding programs.
• Support risk screening and formal risk assessment related to scaffolding erection.
• Act as on-site focal point for resolution of scaffolding issues.
• Monitor the skills development of contractor/sub-contractor scaffolding personnel.
• Lead or participate in incident investigations and share lessons learned.
• Establish strong SHE&S networks across project teams and ensure effective communication of best practices.
• Plan and implement field strategies to monitor safety campaigns and hazard management on site.
