Job summary

Fusion Outsourcing Services (Pty) Ltd. is seeking an experienced Projects Controls Engineer to join a client project in Qatar, delivering major brownfield oil and gas initiatives.

The role focuses on planning, scheduling, budgets, and risk management; expected to analyze EOTs, review contractor schedules, and prepare performance dashboards for senior management. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–7 years of relevant experience are required; SAP S/4HANA IM/PS proficiency and strong Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil preferred).
• 5–7 years of experience as a Projects Controls Engineer, with brownfield Oil & Gas experience; Petrochemical experience is an advantage.
• Strong experience in planning and scheduling, including critical path monitoring and contractor schedule reviews.
• Experience in budget management, cost forecasting, spend tracking, and change management.
• Ability to analyse EOT claims and change orders, including their impact on project schedules.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA IM/PS modules, from investment programme creation through financial close-out; SAP IM/PS experience preferred.
• Strong skills in preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management.
• Experience supporting risk identification, mitigation, and lessons learned.
• Proficiency in Project Controls tools and advanced MS Excel
• PMP, PMI, APM, CCP, PSP, or equivalent certification is an advantage
• Proficient in English; working knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
