Job summary

Assets Group seeks a Senior Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and IT procurement across the group, driving optimization of hardware, software, IT services, and resources.

You will develop category strategies, negotiate high-value contracts, and manage supplier performance while partnering with Finance, IT, Strategy, Investment, and Business Units to ensure procurement is embedded in planning and supports growth.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of procurement experience with focus on strategic sourcing and category management.
• Experience in IT procurement including hardware, software, IT services, and resources.

Senior Procurement Manager – Strategic Sourcing & IT Procurement

Job Purpose

The Procurement Manager will lead strategic procurement, sourcing, and category management initiatives across the Group, with a strong focus on IT procurement covering hardware, software, IT services, and resources.

The role will drive spend optimization, supplier strategy, procurement intelligence, market analysis, commercial negotiations, and procurement transformation. The position will work closely with Strategy, Investment, Finance, IT, and Business Unit leadership to ensure procurement is integrated into business planning and supports the Group’s growth and long-term commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Group-level strategic sourcing, spend analytics, and procurement optimization initiatives.
• Manage IT procurement and sourcing, including hardware, software, IT services, and resources.
• Develop category and sourcing strategies aligned with Group business objectives.
• Conduct market intelligence, supplier evaluation, benchmarking, and cost analysis.
• Lead strategic negotiations, high-value contracts, framework agreements, and supplier partnerships.
• Identify cost-saving, efficiency, demand-management, and value-creation opportunities.
• Drive procurement transformation, digitalization, analytics, governance, and process improvements.Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and supplier performance.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Strategy, Investment, and Business Units on procurement and business decisions.
• Lead and develop procurement teams while ensuring alignment with Group procurement objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10–15+ years of progressive procurement experience, including significant experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and procurement leadership.
• Strong experience in IT procurement and sourcing, particularly across:
• Software and licensing
• IT infrastructure
• IT services
• Proven experience working within large, complex, or multi-business organizations.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations, contract management, and cost optimization.
• Experience in spend analytics, procurement transformation, digital procurement, and procurement performance management.
• Experience managing high-value contracts, strategic suppliers, and complex sourcing initiatives.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, Strategy, Investment, and Business Units.

Professional Certification

CIPS, MCIPS, CPSM, or equivalent professional procurement certification is preferred.
