Job description

What You’ll Get Your Hands On:

The Senior Procurement & Demand Planning Manager owns the end-to-end procurement strategy and demand forecasting process for Snoomart's grocery Q-Commerce dark store network. This role sits at the intersection of Commercial, Supply Chain, and Finance, translating sales and category plans into accurate demand forecasts, resilient supplier contracts, and optimized inventory investment.

The role leads and develops the Procurement Coordinator team, drives supplier negotiations at a strategic level, and builds the forecasting and planning discipline needed to sustain high service levels while minimizing working capital tied up in stock

Demand Planning & Forecasting
  • Own the end-to-end demand forecasting process across all categories, combining historical sales, promotional calendars, seasonality, and category growth plans.
  • Run a regular Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cadence with Commercial, Category Management, and Operations to align forecast, supply, and inventory targets.
  • Continuously track forecast accuracy and bias, and refine forecasting models and assumptions to reduce error over time.
  • Translate campaign and promotional plans from Marketing/Commercial into incremental demand and procurement requirements.
Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Develop and execute the category-level procurement strategy, balancing cost, service level, and supply continuity.
  • Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, rebates, and service-level agreements with key suppliers and distributors.
  • Build a supplier segmentation and performance framework, identifying strategic, preferred, and at-risk suppliers.
  • Identify and onboard alternate/backup suppliers to reduce single-source risk on critical SKUs.
  • Own supplier contract renewals and lead periodic business reviews with top suppliers.
Inventory & Working Capital Optimization
  • Set target stock cover and safety stock levels by category, balancing availability against inventory holding cost.
  • Identify slow-moving, excess, and at-risk stock, and drive corrective action plans with Category Management.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor inventory investment against budget and working capital targets.
Team Leadership & Process Governance
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Procurement Coordinator(s), setting priorities and reviewing daily ordering and supplier performance.
  • Establish and maintain procurement and planning SOPs, ensuring consistency across categories and stores.
  • Drive system and process improvements in Odoo and related planning tools to increase forecasting and ordering efficiency.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
  • Prepare and present forecast accuracy, service level, and inventory performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Act as the escalation point for major supply risks (shortages, price shocks, disruptions) and coordinate mitigation plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, and Finance to align on category growth and supply plans.
The Magic You Bring
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement, demand planning, or supply chain roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or team-lead capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, Statistics, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Experience in FMCG, grocery retail, e-commerce, or Q-Commerce environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of leading supplier negotiations and improving forecast accuracy or service levels.
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior procurement/planning staff.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and inventory/order management platforms.
  • Working knowledge of BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Looker Studio, or similar).
  • Strong quantitative and statistical skills for forecasting and inventory modelling.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets; experience with demand planning or forecasting tools is a strong plus.
