Job summary

BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL in Doha seeks a Senior DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement an Azure DevOps environment, migrate codebases, and build robust CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments.

You will replace manual FTP deployments with automated processes, enforce security controls, and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and information security teams to optimize Azure networking, IAM, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of IT infra/cloud/DevOps experience.
• At least 3 years with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing/configuring CI/CD pipelines and centralized repos.
• Experience migrating code to Azure DevOps and automating deployments.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including security.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering; Azure certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strongknowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps, including Azure Repos, AzurePipelines, service connections, access management, and projectconfiguration.
• Hands-onexperience with Git, source code migration, branching strategies, pullrequests, and repository governance.
• Strongexperience developing and maintaining YAML-based CI/CD pipelines andautomating application deployments.
• Knowledge ofAzure App Service, Azure networking, Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, andAzure identity and access management.
• Experiencetransitioning manual FTP-based deployments to secure and automated CI/CDprocesses.
• Proficiencyin PowerShell, Azure CLI, and infrastructure automation using Terraform,Bicep, or ARM templates.

Responsibilities

Design and establish the Azure DevOpsenvironment, including organization/project structure, access model, serviceconnections, and integration with the existing Microsoft Azure environment.
Migrate existing application source code andlibraries from current repositories and locations to managed Azure DevOps.
Establish centralized repositories withappropriate access controls, ownership, version control, branching strategy,and auditability.
Design, configure, and implement CI/CDpipelines for existing applications across Development, Staging,Pre-Production, and Production environments, as applicable.
Replace existing manual FTP-based applicationdeployments with secure, automated, and controlled deployment processes.
Implement DevOps security and governancecontrols in coordination with Information Security, including secrets andcredentials management, deployment approvals, and secure service connections.
Coordinate with application developers andapplication owners to assess deployment requirements, configure pipelines,resolve technical issues, and validate successful deployments.
Establish standardized and reusable CI/CDpipeline configurations to support future application onboarding.
Document the complete DevOps setup, deploymentconfigurations, and operating procedures, and provide knowledge transfer andhands-on training to the internal IT team.
Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Enhancement
Review the existing Microsoft Azureinfrastructure and recommend improvements aligned with organizationalarchitecture, security, and operational requirements.
Support Azure cloud infrastructureconfiguration, administration, automation, and optimization activities.
Assist with improvements to Azure networking,connectivity, identity and access management, security, monitoring, andgovernance.
Implement infrastructure automation usingAzure-native tools, scripting, or Infrastructure as Code (IaC), whereapplicable.
Identify opportunities for improving Azureinfrastructure performance, security, cost efficiency, and operationalreliability. Coordinatewith Infrastructure and Information Security teams to implement approved cloudinfrastructure enhancements and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 6-8years of experience in IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, or DevOpsengineering.
  
• At least 3years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
  
• Provenexperience designing, configuring, and implementing CI/CD pipelines andcentralized source code repositories
  
• Practicalexperience migrating application source code from existing repositories orlocal environments to Azure DevOps.
  
• Experienceautomating application deployments across multiple environments, includingDevelopment, Staging, Pre-Production, and Production.
  
• Experiencemanaging and enhancing enterprise Microsoft Azure infrastructure
  
• Experiencecoordinating with application development, infrastructure, and informationsecurity teams.
  
• Bachelor’sdegree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or arelated field.
  
• MicrosoftAzure certification (AZ-104, AZ-305, or AZ-400) is preferred.
  
• Relevantprofessional certifications in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or automation arean advantage.
