Job summary

Power International Holding (PIH) is seeking a Senior Food Safety And Hygiene Officer to lead compliance audits, investigations and HACCP-driven reviews across food businesses. The role collaborates with department managers to elevate standards and train personnel.

The successful candidate will conduct supplier audits, support regulatory objectives, and coordinate the department’s food safety program including internal audits and documentation control. Experience with SAP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations (HACCP, FSMA, ISO 22000).
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses for production and handling.
• ERP experience with SAP functional skills preferred.
• Knowledge of hygiene principles and sanitation methods to maintain conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and supervise audits against HACCP systems, identifying corrective actions.
• Support Authority objectives and ensure effective, efficient food safety services.
• Disseminate operational information to inform objectives and actions.
• Provide technical advice on compliance issues and records management.
• Fulfils Authority objectives with policies and procedures in mind.
• Investigate and initiate enforcement actions when required to meet policy.
• Source and evaluate suppliers; visit regularly to review production hygiene.
• Coordinate development requirements of the department's food safety program.
• Foster good cross-department relationships within the safety program.
• Maintain registers and documentation related to the role.
• Collaborate with other safety roles within the company.
