Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field is required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in environmental chemical analysis laboratories.
• Experience with Shimadzu analytical instruments and lab safety procedures.
• Familiarity with USEPA, ASTM, ISO, APHA methods and QA/QC processes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a tidy, compliant workplace in the Chemistry Lab.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and interpret results from analytical instruments.
• Perform water and soil testing with accurate data interpretation.
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper space for equipment.
• Check test reports and assist in report preparation.
• Supervise lab technicians and train on tests per standards.
• Prepare test solutions and reagents for tests.
• Evaluate safety procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor procedures to ensure conformity to standards.
