Job summary

QatarEnergy LNG is seeking an electrical engineer to support operations and asset maintenance in day-to-day troubleshooting and maintenance planning. The role includes initiating management of change (MOC), contributing to reliability-centered maintenance and RCFA activities, and supervising contractors to ensure adherence to standards.

Fluency in English and strong software skills are required. Additional responsibilities include budgeting input, IT demand planning, and delivering in-house

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
• 4 years of electrical experience in oil and gas or petrochemical operations and asset maintenance.
• Fluent in English (verbal and written).
• Computer literate and proficient with engineering software tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering support to operations and asset maintenance in day-to-day troubleshooting.
• Initiate MOC and support feasibility studies and implementation for asset electrical team.
• Contribute to RCFA, risk screening and formal risk assessments (FRA).
• Contribute to budget, IT demand plan and technical training plan.
• Develop and review maintenance procedures per Company standards.
• Supervise activities by contractors, consultants and service providers.
• Ensure execution of maintenance quality verification per guidelines.
• Provide in-house technical trainings to asset maintenance team.
• Manage contracts to support electrical maintenance and repairs.

Provide electrical engineering expertise consistent with Engineer level competency to ensure contribution to department objectives in meeting company strategy.

Key Job Accountabilities

• Provide electrical engineering support to operations and asset maintenance in day-to-day troubleshooting including Level-2 complexity Issues and PM/CM activities as per maintenance strategies.
• Initiate Management of Change’s (MOC)and support engineering in feasibility study and Implementation of MOC recommendations to the asset electrical team.
• Provide inputs to Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) team for improving system maintenance strategies and participate and contribute to Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA’s), risk screening, Formal Risk Assessment (FRA’s).
• Provide input to the budget, IT demand plan, technical training plan meeting department objectives.
• Support review and development of maintenance procedures as per Company standard.
• Support and supervise activities undertaken by contactors, consultants and service providers ensuring procedures are followed.
• Ensure execution of maintenance quality verification program in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Provide in house technical trainings to asset maintenance team as a part of technical competency program.
• Manage contracts to support electrical maintenance and repairs as per maintenance plan.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Engineering in the area of specialization.
• 4 years of electrical experience in oil and gas or petrochemical in operations and asset maintenance.
• Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
• Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
