Job summary

AEC PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer Substation in Doha, Qatar, to support KAHRAMAA transmission projects. The role covers detailed design calculations, drawings, and coordination with clients and OEMs across multiple GCC utilities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive substation design experience, strong IEC/IEEE standards knowledge, and proven ability to review OEM documentation and deliver through KAHRAMAA specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics.
• 10+ years of post-graduation experience in substation electrical design.
• 5+ years of GCC project experience.
• Experience with KAHRAMAA or equivalent GCC utilities is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare SLDs and GA drawings.
• Create KSLDs and equipment layouts.
• Develop cable schedules and earthing/protection layouts.
• Perform load flow and short-circuit calculations.
• Carry out CT/VT sizing and cable sizing.
• Review OEM drawings for KAHRAMAA compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, site teams and OEMs.
• Address comments and support submission through approval.

Salary: QAR 8 000 20 000 month all-inclusive depending on experience and technical suitability

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer Substation to support the detailed engineering of KAHRAMAA transmission projects in Qatar The candidate will be responsible for substation electrical design calculations drawings OEM document review technical coordination and resolution of Consultant Client comments

• Participate in technical meetings workshops and interface coordination

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in KAHRAMAA DEWA TRANSCO ADDC SEC MEW Kuwait OETC or EWA projects will be given preference

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of post-graduation experience in substation electrical design.
• Minimum 5 years of GCC project experience.
• Proven experience in at least one complete GCC substation project as Designer or Design Lead.
• Experience with KAHRAMAA or equivalent GCC utilities is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IEC / IEEE and applicable utility standards.
• Excellent technical communication and report/documentation skills.
