Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a Discipline Lead and Technical Authority (TA2) to guide a team of discipline engineers on a major project. You will lead and manage the contractor's work, review critical deliverables, and ensure safety, schedule and cost objectives are met.

This role requires extensive experience in oil & gas projects, proficiency in instrumentation and control, and strong leadership and communication skills to manage stakeholders and drive project success.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer status or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 20+ years postgraduate experience; 10+ years in Oil & Gas with leadership roles.
• TA2 designation equivalent or eligible.
• Experience with turbomachinery control systems, DCS, SCADA, safety systems (ESD & FGS) and gas compressor anti-surge control.
• Knowledge of engineering software and cyber security practices.
• International Operating Companies (IOCs) and EPC contractor exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to discipline engineers on the project.
• Review and approve deliverables to ensure technical quality and integrity.
• Manage contractor work and team to meet project objectives (safety, time, cost).
• Coordinate with project management to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
