Job summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Protection & Privacy Specialist to support the organization’s data protection and privacy governance initiatives. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day privacy operations, conduct privacy risk assessments, review personal data management processes, and support investigations and complaint handling related to personal data protection.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
CIPM, CIPP, or equivalent data protection/privacy certifications preferred.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy, information security or related fields.
Strong knowledge of privacy laws, governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Perform day-to-day operational activities related to data protection, including handling complaints and inquiries.
Review and assess Personal Data Management Systems to ensure compliance with privacy requirements.
Conduct Personal Data Privacy Risk Assessments and provide mitigation recommendations.
Evaluate requests involving sensitive data and submit recommendations for approval.
Assist in privacy investigations, incident handling, and ensuring policy compliance.
