Job summary

Snoonu, Qatar’s homegrown Super App, is seeking a technically minded engineer to manage and develop our ETL infrastructure. You will work with a stack including data lake, data warehouse, workflow systems, and IaC tools to drive scalable data solutions.

We value strong programming and data engineering skills, with opportunities to influence architecture and governance while partnering across teams to deliver robust data products.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ETL design and maintenance across batch/real-time pipelines.
• Strong programming skills with Python and data-focused frameworks.
• Experience with SQL, subqueries, window functions, and CTEs.
• Knowledge of data warehouse/ETL system design and governance.
• Familiarity with distributed computing and performance optimization.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, GCP) and Databricks or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Integrate new sources using existing batch ETL systems.
• Create real-time pipelines using infrastructure-as-code approaches.
• Support teams in extracting data from the warehouse and on Reverse ETL processes.
• Contribute to data management process improvements and propose solutions.
• Automate processes and optimize pipeline performance.
• Lead long-term improvement activities and cost-reduction initiatives.
