Job summary

Qatar Insurance Company Q.S.P.C (QIC, QIC Group) is seeking an experienced corporate underwriter to service existing clients across Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines. You will underwrite risks within defined authority and determine premiums and coverage terms.

The role requires 5–7 years of corporate underwriting experience, a Bachelor's in Engineering, and strong negotiation and market knowledge to optimize risk selection and profitability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years experience in handling underwriting of corporate accounts for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident lines.
• Good underwriting technical & marketing skills.
• Good knowledge of Insurance Products & Services.

Responsibilities

• Servicing existing corporate customers of QIC Group for Property, Engineering, Casualty and General Accident insurance products.
• Underwrite good quality risks within the authority limit specified in the Operations Manual.
• Determine insurance premiums, extent of insurance coverage and other conditions of the insurance contract.
• Assessment of risks and releasing quotations in line with the Company's underwriting guidelines and reinsurance arrangement.
• Negotiate on premium and policy terms with Clients and Insurance Brokers.
