Job summary

NTU International A/S is seeking a highly qualified Key Expert – Cancer Epidemiology Expert (Cat. II) to provide technical assistance on cancer epidemiology, surveillance, and policy translation for an EU-funded project with the Syrian Ministry of Health.

The expert will conduct population-based cancer surveillance, perform advanced statistical analyses, and translate registry data into evidence-based public health policies and national cancer-control strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in epidemiology/public health or quantitative discipline.
• Additional training in cancer epidemiology or registry research preferred.
• Experience with cancer registry, health planning and digital transformation teams.

Responsibilities

• Designing and conducting descriptive and analytical epidemiological studies using registry or health facility data.
• Producing peer-reviewed publications, technical reports or policy briefs translating evidence into policy.
• Assessing data quality for cancer registry data and familiarity with IARC/GLOBOCAN standards.
• Building analytical capacity of national counterparts through training and mentoring.
