QNB Group, established in 1964 and the largest bank in the MEA region, seeks an experienced head of Remittance Investigations to oversee the overall management and supervision of the remittance investigations function for both retail and corporate clients.

The role involves developing related processes to support the department’s functioning, liaising with internal departments, and ensuring timely and accurate processing of outward and inward remittance inquiries in line with Group strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree University Graduate/preferred with a Major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology (related field of study).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank / banking operations experience, with at least 5 years at a managerial/ supervisory position.

Responsabilités

• Assist the VP – Transaction Services in the creation of KPIs for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes, pertaining to the Investigations Sub-section.
• Implements KPIs and best practices for AVP Investigations role.
• Exercise delegated authority and oversee staff performance within approved powers.
• Demonstrate understanding of factors behind the bank's financial and non-financial performance.
• Assist with the Section’s annual budgeting process.
• Develop SLAs with internal departments to improve turnaround time for remittance queries and complaints.
• Build and maintain relationships with related departments to achieve Group goals.
• Provide timely data to Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control and Risk when required.
• Ensure robust processes and controls to prevent/detect negligence or fraud; ensure compliance with QCB and international regulations.
• Coordinate required reports and MIS for senior management; ensure timely escalation and completion of requests.
• Continuously seek process improvements to reduce operating costs and enhance efficiency; communicate changes to responsible departments.
• Support International Branches and subsidiaries.
