Job summary

Swan Global seeks an experienced Rigging and Lifting Designer to create AutoCAD-based crane lifting drawings and detailed rigging plans. You will accompany site supervisors, perform measurements, and help ensure safe lifting operations across Oil & Gas sites.

The role requires extensive experience, AutoCAD proficiency, and familiarity with lifting calculations, elevations, and plot plans. Strong coordination with Rigging Supervisors and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–15 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 3-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• AutoCAD certification/experience specifically related to Crane Lifting Drawings is preferred.
• Oil & Gas safety-related certifications are preferred.
• Crane Lifting drawings (Elevation, Plot plan and Tool details) in Auto CAD Certification and any oil and gas safety related certifications.
• Computer literate and preferably Auto CAD, 3D Max, Katia, STADD, MS Office and SAP

Responsibilities

• Prepare and arrange AutoCAD drawings, lifting plans, method statements, calculations, MOMs and risk assessments as instructed by the Site/Rigging Supervisor.
• Conduct site visits and physical measurements to determine crane footprints, lifting areas and site requirements.
• Prepare detailed Rigging & Lifting drawings using AutoCAD, including elevation, plot plans and lifting/tool details.
• Coordinate closely with Rigging Supervisors and Heavy Equipment Supervisors for lifting and rigging activities.
• Support the preparation and review of lifting calculations, rigging arrangements and risk assessments.
