Confidential Government Entity in Doha, Qatar, seeks a Senior Accountant/Accounts Payable Manager to lead AP processes and supplier payments within a dynamic finance team.

The role requires 7+ years in AP or accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and proficiency in SAP/Oracle/Dynamics with advanced Excel. Arabic and English communication skills are essential for interactions with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting at Senior Specialist or Senior Accountant level.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics).

Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices compliant with policies.
• Perform three-way matching (PO, receiving, invoice) and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and execute payment runs per approved terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain vendor records.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and external vendors on payment queries.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Perform three-way matching (PO, goods receipt, invoice) and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare and execute payment runs in line with approved payment terms
• Reconcile supplier statements and maintain accurate vendor records
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Coordinate with procurement, operations, and external vendors on payment queries
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, currently at Senior Specialist or Senior Accountant level
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with an ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics)
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail, with good communication skills in Arabic and English
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus
