Job summary

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting an HR Manager for Compass International School Doha, Qatar. You will lead all aspects of people management, collaborating with the Principal and leadership team to deliver a high-quality HR service that supports strategic priorities.

The role focuses on recruitment, employee relations, HR operations, compliance, visas, appraisals and workforce planning, within a diverse international school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or related field.
• 5–7 years HR generalist or management experience, preferably in education or service-led environments.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Labour Law and immigration processes.
• Proven track record in high-volume recruitment and onboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with senior leaders.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with HR systems; SAP/SuccessFactors considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for all school roles with leadership team.
• Act as first point of contact for employee relations, coaching and mediation.
• Oversee payroll inputs, contracts, attendance, and personnel files.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Labour Law, MOEHE and Nord Anglia HR policies.
• Manage visa renewals, residency processes and exits.
• Coordinate annual appraisal and performance reviews.
• Support managers with goal setting and development planning.
• Partner with Principal on workforce structure, compensation and priorities.
• Champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the school.

Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit an HR Manager to join Compass International School Doha, Qatar.

We are looking for an experienced HR professional to lead all aspects of people management within the school, working closely with the Principal and school leadership team to deliver a high-quality HR service that supports our strategic and operational priorities.

The Role

We seek an individual to join as an HR Manager where your focus will be:

• Leading full-cycle recruitment for all school roles, working closely with the Principal and school leadership team
• Acting as the first point of contact for employee relations, providing advice, coaching and mediation to managers and staff
• Overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including payroll inputs, contract renewals, attendance management and personnel file maintenance
• Ensuring full compliance with Qatar Labour Law, MOEHE requirements and Nord Anglia HR policies
• Managing employee visa renewals, residency processes and exit procedures
• Coordinating the school’s annual appraisal and performance review process
• Supporting managers with goal setting, feedback and development planning
• Partnering with the Principal on workforce structure, compensation and people priorities
• Championing diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the school community

The Successful Candidate Will Possess

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (CIPD qualification desirable)
• Minimum of 5-7 years' HR generalist or management experience, ideally in a school or service-led environment
• Strong understanding of Qatar Labour Law, employment legislation, and immigration processes
• Proven track record of managing high-volume recruitment and onboarding
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Skilled in HR systems and data management; experience with SuccessFactors is an advantage
• Culturally aware, empathetic, and able to thrive in a diverse international setting
