Swan Global is seeking a Lead HSE professional to oversee turnaround/shutdown work fronts at Ras Laffan, Qatar, ensuring alignment with ORYX GTL HSE systems and PTW processes.
The role demands a minimum of 6+ years in safety, including 5+ years in petrochemical/O&G environments, with contractor safety management. You will drive hazard controls, audits, training coordination and KPI tracking on site.
Purpose: Lead HSE oversight for turnaround/shutdown work fronts, ensuring compliance with ORYX GTL HSE systems and PTW.
Reports to: Contractor PM & ORYX Area Supervisor | Work Schedule: Schedule3 (12 h/day, 6 d/wk; day or night) | Location: Ras Laffan, Qatar
Lead hazard identification, risk assessment and control verification for jobs (hot work, confined space, work at height).
Review/coach Job Hazard Analyses and Toolbox Talks; monitor PTW compliance.
Track HSE KPIs (near misses, incidents, corrective actions) and issue daily/weekly reports.
Coordinate with ORYX HSE for audits, training, and incident investigations.
Bachelor of Science OR NEBOSH Diploma in Oil & Gas (or equivalent relevant experience).
NEBOSH IGC; Advanced First Aid & Basic Firefighting (per ORYX HSE).
6+ years as a safety professional, incl. 5+ years in petrochemical/Oil & Gas process environment with contractor safety management.
Strong knowledge of HSE management systems; understanding of engineering principles & quality systems.
PTW systems, incident investigation, auditing, and report writing.
