Job summary

QatarEnergy seeks a Safety and HSE Specialist to conduct inspections across industrial sites and projects, offering recommendations to mitigate violations and ensure compliance with HSE policies. You will support PTW processes and safety training programs while coordinating with multinational teams in a demanding oil, gas and petrochemical setting.

The candidate should have an HNC in Engineering/Safety/Science or recognized international safety certificates (IOSH/NEBOSH), plus 5+ years in

Qualifications

• 12 years of education completed; HNC in Engineering, Safety or Science or equivalent
• Recognized international safety certificates (IOSH/NEBOSH) desirable
• Experience in safety training and safety management in oil/gas or petrochemical environments
• Minimum 5 years in construction and/or manufacturing fields
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections of work areas and worksites and provide recommendations and control measures for observed HSE violations
• Assist in managing QatarEnergy HSE PTW system to ensure compliance with standards and procedures
• Coordinate with multinational teams to ensure HSE compliance and training

Job description

Conduct safety inspections of all work areas of Industrial Directorate and Contractors including operational areas and project worksites and provide appropriate recommendations and or control measures against observed HSE violations in accordance with established HSE Policies Procedures and Regulations Assist in managing the HSE aspects of RLIC or MIC Permit To Work PTW System to ensure compliance to QatarEnergy HSE standards and regulations

Required Experience and Skills

Completed 12 years of education Higher National Certificate in Engineering Safety or Science or equivalent e g Recognized International Safety Certificate approved by QP eg IOSH or Nebosh Knowledge and experience in providing Safety Training is highly desirable Attended safety management course 6 years relevant practical experience e g safety practitioner preferable in oil gas or petrochemical environment A minimum of 5 years experience in the field of Construction and or Manufacturing Computer Competency in MS Word Excel Access and PowerPoint Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent communication and administration skills and be comfortable working in multinational environment Ability to analyze data interpret results and communicate results Hold valid Driving license Completed 12 years of education Higher National Certificate in Engineering, Safety or Science or equivalent (e.g. Recognized International Safety Certificate approved by QP eg IOSH or Nebosh)
