Job summary

C2HR GLOBAL LLC is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to ensure a safe working environment across UAE construction sites. You will implement HSE policies, conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with UAE safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of total experience as a Safety Officer in construction.
• Minimum 4 years UAE/QATAR/INDIA or GCC construction experience is mandatory.
• Experience on construction sites with a main contractor or reputed construction company.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and safety standards at construction sites.
• Conduct daily site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and applicable construction safety requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and regular safety awareness programs for workers and site staff.
• Prepare and maintain risk assessments, method statements, inspection reports, and safety records.
• Monitor the use of PPE and ensure workers follow all required safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and prepare incident reports.
• Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and project management to resolve safety issues.
• Monitor activities involving working at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, electrical works, hot works, and confined spaces.
• Ensure proper implementation of emergency procedures and participate in emergency drills.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
• Follow up on safety observations and ensure corrective actions are closed within the required timeframe.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and inspections.
• Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections.

Candidate Requirements

• 4–5 years of total experience as a Safety Officer in construction companies.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE, QATAR, INDIA or any GCC construction experience is mandatory.
• Must have experience working on construction sites with a main contractor or reputed construction company.
• Strong knowledge of construction site safety practices and UAE HSE requirements.
• Relevant HSE/Safety qualification or diploma is required.
• NEBOSH / IOSH certification will be an advantage.
• Good knowledge of risk assessment, incident investigation, toolbox talks, and safety inspections.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle site safety responsibilities effectively.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Candidates with experience in building construction, high-rise buildings, villas, commercial projects, and large-scale construction projects will be preferred.
