Job summary

Waagner Biro Bridge Services Gulf LLC, part of the global Egis Group, seeks an experienced HSE professional to ensure compliance with QCS 2014, HSE regulations, and project safety requirements. You will conduct inspections, verify PTWs, assess risks, deliver inductions, audits, and incident investigations, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires NEBOSH IGC, at least 4 years HSE experience in the GCC, knowledge of ISO 45001, strong communication, and proficiency in MS

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH IGC is mandatory.
  • Minimum 4 years HSE experience in the GCC region.
  • Sound knowledge of QCS 2014 and applicable HSE regulations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily HSE inspections and site audits to ensure compliance.
  • Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices across all activities.
  • Review PTW requirements.
  • Assess and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements for suitability and compliance.
  • Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness training sessions.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and maintain records.
  • Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities.
  • Monitor environmental compliance and implement protection measures.
  • Liaise with Client, consultants, and subcontractors on HSE matters.
  • Support internal and external HSE audits and compliance reviews.
  • Exercise Stop Work Authority when unsafe acts or conditions are identified.

To ensure compliance with QCS 2014, applicable HSE regulations, and project-specific safety requirements while promoting and maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct daily HSE inspections and site audits to ensure compliance with project requirements and HSE regulations.

  • Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices across all work activities.

  • Review, verify, and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.

  • Assess and review Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) to ensure suitability and compliance.

  • Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness training sessions.

  • Investigate incidents, accidents, hazardous occurrences, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports and maintain accurate HSE records and documentation.

  • Participate in and coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities.

  • Monitor environmental compliance and implement environmental protection measures.

  • Liaise and coordinate with the Client, consultants, and subcontractors on all HSE-related matters.

  • Support internal and external HSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

  • Exercise Stop Work Authority whenever unsafe acts or unsafe conditions are identified.
