Job summary

Italconsult is seeking a Safety Inspector in Doha to support PSHEP growth and monitor safety and health standards on construction sites. You will provide SH&E expertise, train teams, supervise safety performance, review Method Statements, ensure tool maintenance and third‑party clearances, and coordinate with clients and stakeholders on risk controls.

The role requires active engagement in site safety, incident investigations, and demonstrating strong Health & Safety leadership across projects.

Qualifications

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
• OSHA certification is preferred.
• IOSH Taking Care Of Safely and IOSH Working Safety certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in growth of the Job Security, Health and Setting Plan (PSHEP).
• Monitor construction activities against health, wellness, safety and security requirements.
• Provide SH&E knowledge and ensure project compliance with SH&E demands.
• Provide supervision of SH&E performance, qualifications and programs.
• Assist and participate in SH&E training.
• Provide health, safety and wellness expertise and ensure compliance with company H&S needs.
• Review safety requirements in Method Statements and monitor implementation during construction.
• Ensure maintenance, calibration and operation of all safety tools.
• Inspect tools and ensure third-party approvals and driver authorizations.
• Check site safety, fire, first aid and welfare facilities and ensure procedures are in place.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and guidelines.
• Support site safety training and participate in investigations of accidents and incidents.
• Set a high personal example of Health and Safety at all times.
• Coordinate with construction team on safety requirements for traffic, excavation and equipment movement.
• Review service provider safety reports and produce safety records for SRE evaluation.
• Coordinate safety concerns with Client/PMC and other stakeholders as guided by QHSE and SRE.

Safety Inspector
