Swan Global in Qatar seeks a Rigging Supervisor to oversee lifting and rigging on the site, ensuring safe, compliant operations and close coordination with crane operators and site teams.
Candidates should have 3–5 years in Oil & Gas rigging, a technical graduate qualification, and a TUv-certified or equivalent credential, with strong knowledge of rigging gear, load charts, lifting plans and safety protocols.
Duration: 4 Months Extendable
Working Hours: 10 hours/day, 6 days/week
The Rigging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all lifting and rigging activities at the worksite to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The role involves supervising rigging teams, inspecting lifting equipment, and coordinating with site engineers and safety officers to execute lifting operations as per project requirements and safety standards.
Supervise daily rigging and lifting operations at the site.
Ensure all lifting plans, permits, and risk assessments are in place prior to execution.
Verify rigging gear and lifting tools are certified and properly maintained.
Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, and site supervisors for safe lifting practices.
Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for rigging teams.
Monitor lifting activities to ensure adherence to company and client HSE procedures.
Report incidents, near misses, or unsafe acts immediately to HSE department.
Maintain documentation for all lifting operations and certifications.
Education: Graduate (Technical discipline preferred)
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in Oil & Gas rigging operations
Certification: TUV-certified Rigging Supervisor or equivalent
Skills: Strong knowledge of rigging gear, load charts, lifting plans, and safety protocols
